New Pics! & Sick :(

1st time going up north that E knew what was going on. We stayed for a wkend at a cabin on the beach and had an absolute blast!!! He loves the beach!!!

E's 1st time doing sparklers!!! :)

E was fussy last week but had no other symptoms, just wasn't himself. So I took him to the Dr. thinking I was being an overprotective Mom but turns out he had an ear & sinus infection. So we went home with Amoxicillin and a few days later he returned to his happy self. Fast forward 8 days - daycare called and E has 101 temp. I go get him and decide to take him back to the Dr. bc his teacher was telling me she'd never seen him cry like that - seemed like something was hurting. Same ear - still infected :( This exact same thing happened the last time he had an ear infection - amox. didn't work. So from here on out we're going to jump straight to augmentin. My poor little gentleman has been fighting a fever that has been stubborn to break and has been throwing up and so lathargic :( I think he must have a bug too. He just ate and held his 1st dose of his new antibiotics down so hopefully that means he's taking a turn for the better. Nothing worse than having a sick child. I can't even begin to imagine what people go through that have kids that are battling more than just an infection. Makes me feel even more blessed to have a healthy baby. I pray daily he will stay healthy and live a long life :) Our sweet precious boy! Even though he is sick, he is still so funny. He is holding his blanket up to his face right now and saying "oh taggie taggie taggie". Never fails to make us laugh! Some recent pics...

Potty!

On July 11th E went potty for the first time on the toilet! So very proud. But I have to admit it was bittersweet bc that means my baby is more and more not a baby anymore. I am sure once things progress and I am no longer changing and buying diapers this feeling will fade fast! He has not gone at home yet - but has gone once-twice/day at school ever since that day! He tries every night before his bath at home but seemed stressed about his little potty. So today I put the little potty away and we went to the store to get a seat that goes on the toilet. I put 3 on the floor in the store and let him pick out which one he wanted. I was for sure he'd pick out the 'Cars' one ~ he is a big Lighting McQueen fan. Nope - he picked out a different one. Told me he liked the green handles on it. Cute. So, on the toilet it went. He tried to go and instead of being stressed, told me it was "pretty comfortable". We have underwear and I washed them today. Amy got him a 'Cars' potty chart and he has been getting stickers from doing "chores" every night and enjoys it. His nightly chore is to take his clothes off (as much as he can) and throw them down the laundry shoot, then try the potty, flush the toilet, (go potty - hopefully soon!), and he also gets a sticker for washing his hands before supper. SO FUN! For the past 3 nights as soon as he goes to bed he yells down for us saying he needs to be changed bc he peed. So, starting tomorrow - we will try the potty before bed as well. Amazing how in a week my emotions have gone to excitement about these milestones after the sadness. We spend the day with Alex and Kyle yesterday and it just proves that time passes by so quickly - they are no longer little and I don't remember how it was when they were which is super crazy! I remember some moments, but not everyday things like I thought I would with them! Reminds me to record his voice, his everyday habits, etc. :)
