Playing outside after work/school today ~ hitting the golf ball back and forth to each other. I receive a text message and reply. Evan: "Put your phone back in your pocket and play golf Mommy!".
Asked E to put his shoes back "no, Mommy do it".
Attempted to help E put his "big boots" on (hand-me-downs that are about 4 sizes too big for him). "No - my do it myself!"
OH MY! here we go with the sassiness! Right now its funny - - I don't let him know that...I smile when I look the other way. But I have to admit when the golf statement was said I laughed aloud and told him he was hilarious.
ps: a random thing I want to remember: after bath I swaddle E in a towel and call him my newborn. He loves it and if I don't do it he tells me "be Mommy's newborn?". Once I do it he'll tell me to show Daddy newborn. So beyond cute and fun fun times!
