February ~ and 2 year stats!

E had a fabulous Valentine's Day and we had a great time preparing for it! We made frosted heart cookies and he put stickers on his Toy Story Valentine cards. He was very excited to pass them out to all of his friends and teachers! He had a blast at school. Got Valentine cards from his friends, a cool cup & heart straw, and lots of goodies! He wore a shirt that said "Mommy's Heart Breaker" - - and Mimi sent matching socks (not knowing I had even gotten him the shirt!).

Current Favorites:

Book: Dr. Suess' Foot Book
Best Friend: Bobby (from school)~ he says he is about 95% of the time. Chuck asked him who his best friend was on Sat. and he said "Mommy". Melted my heart!!!
Song: "The Turtle Song"...when I was pg and on bedrest my Grandma got me this turtle that walks and sings a song about slowing down. "Ya gotta slow down, ya move to fast. Ya gotta slow down and let the moment pass. Workin too hard, ya know that its true, ya gotta slow down and make time for you uh huh". E looooves it and smiles every time we sing it!
Food: blueberries & pizza (lately hot dogs are a hit as well!)
Shoe size: 6
Clothes size: 24months & 2t...just packed away all the 18 month shirts that fit him until just recently!
2 year check up: 25 lbs (10th %tile) 33 inches (75th %tile)
Binky: you still love it but when we tell you that you have to put it in the drawer, you are doing a good job with parting with it. You still have it at bedtime and most of the time you're in the car.

You are currently into Buzz Lightyear - - you talk about flying to the moon every day. You put your drum on your head and say its your helmet and that you are going to fly to the moon! When Daddy & I say "Is Maxi gonna fly to the moon?" You smile and say "nooooo!"...you then say Mama? And we repeat the phrase and go through a long list of people!

Every night before you go to bed I put Aquafor on your cheeks, chin, and nose. If I don't follow the sequence you quickly remind me. After its on you, I put it on my lips then I put it on Max's chin. You say "Aquafor in my eyes? ~ noooooo! Aquafor on Salsa? ~ noooo!".

Enjoys listing things and telling same story repeatedly...recently pooped in the tub and talks about it almost daily. Says he pooped in the tub and I say "ewww, that's caca!" He holds up his fingers and says what I tell him every time - - I tell him to poop on the potty or in his diaper. He holds his fingers up and says diaperrrrrr or potty! He also recently got his 1st time out in his new classroom at school for throwing plastic eggs. I ask him how his day was when I pick him up and he says "I throw eggs, get time-out. I say sorry Candi (his teacher)...only throw soft balls". He reviews that story daily. I tell him yep but if you listen you don't get timeouts and Ms. Candi said you were a good boy today! SO funny!

More funny stories:

We got a snowstorm last night - about 10 inches. Recently I had a rental car bc I got in a fender bender and my car was in the shop. It was an HHR and had faster acceleration than my car. You liked that and would laugh and say "faster!". Now that we have our car back often times you tell me to go faster. I was going slow this morning bc of the snow and you told me to go faster. I told you I couldn't bc of the snow. You said "Maaaaaama!" (like I was being silly). The road to daycare wasn't plowed and you could hear the snow underneath the car. You laughed and said "more, more". Then I turned the wipers on full blast to clean my windshield and you laughed even harder and wanted more. So we did this the rest of the way to school. You are SOOOOO much fun!!!

Tonight - 2.21.11 you had your 2nd haircut. WOW you did incredible! You sat so still and carried on a conversation with the girl cutting your hair while I handed you M&M's! You're a great conversationalist!

I'll end with what I feel I say every single time but its because I think it every single day. What a blessing you are - I am the luckiest person in the world to get to be your Mommy! I love you so very much!

Special Moments

You help me cook and follow directions so well. You run and get your step stool, stir the eggs, add cheese and wait. So very cute -and makes me feel so proud.

Tonight we were laying on the "couch" (big comfy chair that swirls) in your bedroom before bed. You got a little crazy for a minute and hit me hard in the face accidentally. I said OUCH Evan, you can't do that - - that hurt Mommy. You said nothing at all but grabbed my hand and held it as I continued to sing to you. MELTED ME

Today after I picked you up from work I told myself you know what ~ I'm not going to clean up, spend any time cooking or doing ANYTHING but playing with you. And that is what we did. Played in your playroom, watched Toot & Puddle in Mommy & Daddy's bed, then read books and cuddled in your room at bedtime. I love you my precious Eboy.
